- Thursday January 22nd 2009.
- Apologies for the delays in this update. Have been tinkering behind the scenes, but haven't really had time for a decent update. Still don't really, but I hate neglecting this site! Okay, so onto the Trivia Competition. We have a new supplier for the daily cartoon, after the last one went HUGE on me, and I mean h-u-g-e! We NOW have ONE HUNDRED AND TWO players so far in the daily Trivia Competition. Player 100 was "Steve", who actually has not yet played!
Winners last month included muffy19 (overall winner 2 months running!), bn, chrisfromoz, mishy73, OzFree, Danceman, wren3005, aussie, manfrommars, and mumof4! - Paul Kelly, one of our most prolific and poignant songwriters of all time, has performed a series of unique shows under the banner ‘A to Z’, whereby he sings 100 songs from his catalogue in alphabetical order over 4 nights. Every month, for FREE, one letter’s worth of songs will be available to download from his website.
January is the "M" month. - Heads-up number 1: RewardsCentral has had Bonus Web Clicks recently, in addition to the daily question and regular web clicks.
- Heads-up number 2: The SpiderMetrix quickies started back last Friday. Check around the turn of the hour for your weekly point.
- I was at Coles supermarket recently, and they had long-life screw-fitting light globes, 2-for-$1 and 2-for-$2, price varying according to wattage and size of thread. Most lights in Australia are bayonet cap, or bc, but some lamps from overseas are edison screw, or es. If you have an ES lamp, check your local Coles store for cheap globes, while stocks last.
- Red Rooster are giving away free Australia Day packs with selected meals. Each pack has a cardboard Aussie visor, Aussie flag tatto, and wavable aussie flag.
